Studio Belewbeloid New reading of

15.39

Studio Belewbeloid.

New reading of the morning is Desert Father: A Journey in the Wilderness with Saint Anthony by James Cowan (Shambala 2004) acquired yesterday afternoon.

Then to arising matters of future-shift importance with Toyah, David Singleton & The Crims. The next period gets underway in 2005 but hints & tickles are appearing.

Conventional thinking has been voicing its opinion within the wider Crim business community. As soon as I take business-manager concerns on board, I feel my enthusiasm ebbing away. These are backward-looking concerns. Managers are innately conservative, even good business-managers. A good business manager knows that gravity acts downwards and may be relied upon to do so. But this takes no account of the soaring spirit, unencumbered by gravity. And in this area, there are no guarantees.

This is only one reason why I am not a good professional musician.

Day Five is Listening Day…

This is the day we don't usually allow for in the Crim process. This is partly a result of the mistaken notion that working isn't taking place without great physical activity. Historically, it might also have something to do with younger Crims not listening to anything other than their own playing.

17.37 Pat has just gone out the back door. Ken the Hero is giving him a lift to the airport. Tony left 5 minutes ago, driving back to Woodstock. Upstairs, a birthday party for Stevie Belew. In the Basement, packing calls.

21.10 Packing mostly done. Now, some practising in E flat minor.

Sirius Probe II: on the left, Pat & Tony grooving in E flat minor; on the right Robert fumbling through Guitar Rig; in the middle, a gold Fernandes…
